Saying Goodbye

Well, it's not a secret anymore that fall is approaching fast. I generally love fall, but it makes me quite sad that I have to say "goodbye" to my beloved Indian gauze dresses until next spring. They are just too sheer to wear them during the chillier months, so they have to hibernate in suit bags. But I'm already looking forward to next year, when the first warm sunbeams will awaken my desire again to feel like a hippie in the late 60s!

Peacock Love

Well...I know, this post comes a little late (almost one week after my return from Norway - shame on me!!!), but there was so much stuff to do during the last days, gosh! But now, I'm here :) Well, these pictures were taken at the folk museum in Oslo. I can really recommend that museum, you should definitely go there, if you'll have the chance! The weather was quite cloudy and chilly that day, so I had to wear my beautiful Indian gauze dress from Thea's Vintage with tights and a biker jacket. But honestly, I really love that breach of style, if a 70s hippie dress meets a heavy black biker jacket! And if you take a closer look at the 1st and the 5th picture, you can discover a peacock - made of golden sequins :)

Swinging Sixties

That vintage dress from the 60s is one my favorite ones. I love it, because it reminds me so much of the Swinging Sixties in London. I can imagine the teenybopper girls wearing their most beautiful dolly mini dresses, while screaming their lungs out at a Beatles' concert. Oh yes, sometimes I wish I had a time machine. I'd love to feel the spirit of that age and I'd just love to be one of those girls looking for a beautiful new mini dress for the next Beatles concert :)
We'll folks, I'm off to Oslo now. I'll return on Sunday with hopefully tons of new pictures! See you soon :)

Groupie Feeling

Although we're enjoying the last warm or rather hot days of summer at the moment, I couldn't resist showing you my already favorite coat for winter. I bought it on one of those hot days in June on a flea market for only 5 € (!!!) and I exactly remember the seller saying: "I never thought I will sell that coat in summer!" But the funniest part was that I found a 5 € note in one of the pockets, when I tried it on again at home. So I got it for free! Lucky me :) However, that coat reminds me so much of that late 60s/early 70s rock star groupie chic à la the Doors or the Rolling Stones. I hope I won't freeze to death, when I'll wear it with my suede mini skirts and just tights in winter; And if yes, I'll change the skirts to bell bottoms :) But one thing is sure: This baby is already my most favorite winter must have!

The White Lady

Well guys, this is kinda weird, but I guess, this is my blog. I'm pretty bad in writing kind of an introduction, but I think I should mention some facts before you can stalk me. Some years ago, I used to have another blog which I deleted, because I felt uncomfortable with it - I felt like just playing a role. But now I found my style that is deeply based in a huge vintage love. I already loved past times when I was a child, but it never came to my mind to wear vintage clothes myself. Then I tried it though, and an experiment became a passion. Today I can't imagine living without my little paradise of vintage pieces. They are my own world - in a big, crazy and modern society. I am mostly inspired by the 60s and 70s, where also the name of my blog comes from: It is a dedication to Scott McKenzie's song "San Francisco" and the spirit of the 60s and 70s. I think my blog is a good way to share my beloved vintage clothes with you and also what inspires me at the moment. In this sense, there is only one thing left to say: Enjoy!
